Digital Smile Design (DSD) is a treatment that allows for careful analysis of the patient’s facial and dental structures through state-of-the-art videography and digital technology. DSD is considered the most modern, patient-centered smile design approach available today.
Step 1: Facial Analysis
Using techniques adopted from plastic surgeons, we design teeth that are unique to your face.
Step 2: 3D Design
We then use sophisticated software to develop incredibly beautiful and natural teeth.
Step 3: Temporaries
While our master ceramist fabricates your veneers by hand, we’ll place temporaries that look and feel like the real thing.
Step 4: Bonding
The final step in the process involves bonding veneers to your teeth.
We use sophisticated computer software to create a smile that is unique to your face. The aesthetic characteristics of the teeth we design are fully customized to your unique facial profile. From there, we take the digital data and transfer it to our 3D printer and print a model of your mouth with the new tooth shapes. This entirely reversible and painless process allows us to try in your new smile so that we can evaluation tooth position, speech patterns and shade.
Using 3D digital technology, the Core Smiles doctors will take a digital scan of your teeth. Along with photography, we’ll “digitize” your smile and using sophisticated software, we can then design the ideal tooth shape and size to fit your face. The Core Smiles doctors are certified in Digital Smile Design and using this methodical process, patients are blown away by the results!
