Ximena Chicaiza, RDH

Ximena Chicaiza is a cornerstone of the Core Smiles team, bringing deep institutional knowledge, clinical excellence, and a genuine passion for patient care. She joined the practice in 2009 as a lead dental assistant and played a pivotal role in the growth and evolution of the clinic. Her dedication, clinical intuition, and commitment to excellence quickly distinguished her as an integral part of the Core Smiles foundation.

Driven by a desire to expand her impact on patient health, Ximena pursued advanced training in dental hygiene at New York University, completing her education in 2017. Today, she serves as Core Smiles' lead hygienist, combining technical expertise with an exceptional ability to make patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for. Her approach emphasizes preventive care, patient education, and long-term oral health.

Born in Ecuador and raised in New York City, Ximena developed an early interest in dentistry through her own experience as a patient. Once self-conscious about her smile due to crooked teeth, she began Invisalign treatment while working at Core Smiles in 2010. The transformation not only reshaped her smile, but also deepened her appreciation for the life-changing impact of dentistry. Since completing treatment, she has been smiling ever since—and helping countless patients do the same.

Ximena's warmth, empathy, and attention to detail are immediately evident in the operatory. Patients frequently remark on her gentle touch, calming presence, and ability to explain procedures in a way that feels reassuring rather than overwhelming. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys exploring new places, discovering different cuisines, traveling, and cherishing time with her beloved Samoyed huskies.
