We'll gently numb the area so you're comfortable throughout. The decayed or damaged portion of the tooth is removed, and a tooth-colored composite resin is carefully bonded and sculpted for a seamless, natural-looking result.

Most fillings and cracked tooth repairs are completed in a single appointment lasting 30 to 60 minutes. More complex repairs may take a bit longer depending on the size and location of the damage.

Composite resin fillings are durable and blend beautifully with your natural tooth, but like all restorations they can wear over time. Avoiding very hard or sticky foods in the treated area and maintaining good hygiene will help your filling last for many years.

You may notice some mild sensitivity to temperature or pressure for a few days after your filling — this is completely normal and will subside. You can eat and drink as soon as the anesthesia wears off, though we suggest avoiding very hot or cold foods initially.
